TEEN BULLYING
This is a narrative feature film created to raise awareness of TEEN and CYBER BULLYING in the United States.
WHY THIS FILM?
With the growth of technology and social media platforms, teen bullying has evolved from the wedgie-and-school-locker stereotypes that most parents think of. Cyber bullying, defined as “any form of bullying taking place online or by digital communication,” now affects 52% of young people.
Because of the ubiquity of technology, cyber bullies are no longer restricted by location or time of day. They have continual access to kids, and the results can be devastating, leading to depression, isolation, and even suicide.
At Artists for Change, our eager hope is to prevent this. Our currently untitled feature will focus on the following:
- educating parents about the risks their children may be facing
- revealing the true emotional damage caused by cyber bullying
- providing hope and resources to victims of cyber bullying
This project is currently in development.
We hope you will help us in our efforts.
