Artists for Change attends See It, End It! Film Festival

We went down to San Pedro to the See It, End It! Film and Arts Festival  to provide education and awareness on human trafficking and it was a huge success.  We were proud to be part of the advisory board for this event.

Board members Julia Verdin and Jason Piette manned the Artists for Change table there and enjoyed meeting people from other organizations and non-profits, who are as passionate as we are about this issue, as well as many filmmakers and artists, educators and locals.

Patrick Erlandson, who founded the festival, gave a rousing and passionate speech galvanizing all to unite to stop trafficking.

The films as well as the art show were all really moving and it was an emotional and powerful event. The event was well attended by the local community and it was truly inspiring for all involved. The festival certainly reiterated how important it is to encourage greater use of the arts to promote and to achieve domestic and global awareness, and to provide strategies to end human trafficking.

Powerful artwork from the festival.
